Pentax Q-mount and 645-mount Lens Roadmap till 2012/13 or Later

In addition to the K-mount DA lens roadmap that are officially published at the Pentax Imaging website, actually Pentax has disclosed two more lens roadmaps at the CP+ (which is now ended), for the Q-mount and 645-mount lens systems, see these below:-

After all, these are not too meaningful, I'm afraid. But, at least Pentax/Ricoh is still publicising "something". :-o

I am very interested in the Q telephoto prime-premium lens but I wonder what the fastest aperture would be. If they can make it F1.2 (doubt it) would be a dream come true. Would be neat if at least F1.4. Even better for low light and probably portrait capable (reasonable portrait capable).

There is no lens road map for the K-01. So, I hope the K-mount lenses will work well (with good AF speed) on it.

From what I have read, the only K mount lenses that will have compatibility issues will be the old powerzoom lenses. The lens will mount and function fully other than the power zoom function being disabled.

I am willing to be beaten and corrected but I was told that the 645D lens elements were, in fact, made before Pentax was sold to Hoya, so that these are comparatively old optical designs that have been put into modern AF cases. Does anyone know if this is accurate?

The 645D project was, AFAIK, started well before Hoya takeover (it was a hostile takeover, not a buyout BTW - since Pentax Corporation was an independent company back then).
However, the claim that any of the new 645D lenses are "comparatively old optical designs" IMHO is completely baseless. Probably your source was talking about the first one - the D FA 55mm; which has a different optical design from the old A 55mm f/2.8.
