Very unlikely since Pentax advertises with this lens for their up coming FF

Example pictures include new 77 HD lens. So it seem new 43 HD lens is comming.

But it seems to be a typo as the original Japanese page states SMC.

I'm confused Rice. I thought it said the SMC lens is discontinued but what it doesn't say is whether it is to be replaced. Laci guessed that an HD version was likely & I agree.

Black is still available, maybe it is only the silver that is discontinued.

By the way, silver FA Limited were available only in Japan some years ago. FA Limited black are available all time.
