PetaPixel Supports the DSLR Niche Strategy of Pentax/Ricoh

The author may have a point. But the market trend is towards interchangeable lens Mirrorless, especially Full Frame ones. Who will jump boat to the Pentax brand because of Reflex? Is it just the wishful thinking of Pentax/Ricoh themselves? :-o After all, the reverse may be true.

They probably don't assume seriously, that anyone from outside (from Canon/Nikon DSLR, or even from mirrorless) would ever switch over to Pentax DSLR. I think instead they just try to slow down the rate, at which Pentaxians leave Pentax for e.g. Fuji or another mirrorless option, which get better and more interesting every month currently.

Also there is this a 2nd video out now for the K-new. Quite embarrassing, because there's no "buy me" key message attached to it. Allegedly the viewfinder is claimed 10% brighter, let it be 7% in reality, this would be 0.1 stops then. Almost not noticeable, and certainly not relevant for anything (photos don't get prettier because of that). Then this awful silver paint option. Looks ugly and really cheap. And it's just not robust, after 1 year of usage, it will look really scruffy, guaranteed.
