By the way, Kenko 1.5X is very bad in terms of AF with Pentax cameras.

Yes the AF of the 1.5x Teleplus is not good with the current APSC digital cameras, but I can tell you mine works perfectly with both my MZ-S and MZ3 as of course they are full frame, the converter shown is a version of the Kenko Teleplus 1.4 and will work with the current Pentax cameras but will work better with a full frame camera maybe they are going to make one !!!!!!.

So it's the reason why it's so late : the AF reliability must have been a big problem.

I doubt if my K-5 will focus good enough with it so that evan when I give up a stop the 500mm f/5.6 (=f/8) will give me clear action JPEGs worth enlarging before noise becomes an issue?
P. S.
If the Fuji had any view-finder instead of an empty mirror box (for a selling feature) it would be my cross-over.
