K-3 IR Review

Same as what DPR said, colour inaccuracy is below average and is yet a problem.

Performance wise, the K-3 is slow in shutter lag, which is close to 1/10 second fastest, and is actually worse than that of the original K-7/K-5.

I appreciate IR's imatest exposure test, but it's only the standard "bright" setting they rely on.
Please have a look at this review with jpeg engine set to "natural": http://www.photoreview.com.au/reviews/dslr-camera...

Quote: "The Natural setting produced excellent colour accuracy in our Imatest tests, with JPEGs showing similar characteristics to the DNG.RAW files we converted into TIFF format with Adobe Camera Raw. The results we obtained are among the best we've had so far from any camera we've tested recently."

Maybe colour accuracy is not on a K10D/645D level, but set to natural much better than K5/II/IIs without doubt.
The K-3 is slow in shutter lag? May I quote the source you cited: "In this metric, the Pentax K-3 was a touch faster than average for a prosumer DSLR, and noticeably faster than the K-5 II." What's your problem?

You boy is really funny. You can't read those simple figures? The Pentax K-3 is measured 96ms the best for the shutter lag whilst many other DSLRs of other manufacturers are measured far better. For instance, the old Canon 7D is measured only 61ms. The K-3 system lag time is simply 57% longer:

And "you boy" is (sic!) also "really funny". Why don't you read those simple figures yourself? The D7100 beats the Pentax when prefocused, true, but the K-3 beats the crap out of the Nikon in all other areas, except flash enabled. As for the 7D: so it's a bit faster when prefocused which makes the K-3 slowER, but it is by no means slow - we're talking of a 0.035 second difference, no reason to overreact.
You should learn what is the system/shutter lag of a camera before arguing further without any valid point.
Run out of arguments, have we? But, by all means, please enlighten me!
No futher argument is actually required since you simply don't understand the basic.
QED. 'nuff said.
The NIkon D7100 does even better, it is measured only 54ms afterall:

"Color inaccuracy is below average"
I see what you did there, Rice :)

That's what IR found and said, "The Pentax K-3's mean "delta-C" color error of 6.01 after correction for saturation at ISO 100 is a little below average for a DSLR these days. Most noticeable were moderate shifts in orange toward yellow and cyan toward blue, with minor shifts and some reds, yellows, and greens."

You haven't read my previous post, have you?
It's only IR contradicts amongst themselves from page to page, not really my problem as a reader of them.
