Seems to be an excellent camera, especially considering the price. (The promo is not interesting though.)

It's more money than any 35mm-FF Pro-DSLR, and not in the same league as other Medium Format cameras. Why shell out large coin for an amature camera?

True, compare the 645 anything to a 135 FF is really meaningless and plain nonsense. One 645Z worths five cheaper 135 FF bodies, but the sensor is only 1.7X larger, enough said.

Please tell us, why it´s not in the same league as non WR, video capability, oldie sensors, lesser AF points(&cross type), non -3EV, 6400ISO, lesser shots per sec, etc, others MF pro DSLRs?

Which are all not so meaningful for a MF DSLR. Frankly, I would buy a last-stock 645D later on which has a CCD sensor despite its "low" ISO and slow performance. At the end of the day, who really uses a MF to shoot fast actions?

Stop living in the past like Ricoh, other Medium Formats use the Sony 50mp sensor and their will be more when Photokina 2014 this way comes, the article you posted a link to recomends researching medium formats more after April 15th. before you buy one. My compliments to Pentax for useing a Sony 50mp sensor but don't forget the rest of the medium formats use 16bit color depth with much bigger files for better quality photos, Ricoh/Pentax uses 14bit color depth (a much smaller file size wich yield faster times), the size of the 645Z & lenses dictate studio use by most Pros and lighting should not be a problem when you can get a gaffer to handle it in studio. But please keep us informed as to how great it is for Home Movies or Professional Videos.

This sensor have a 14-bit ADC onboard, so whatever files you're gonna write, you won't get more true information.

In this I totally agree with you rice. I couldn´t resist the impulse to skip foward the video, as it´s slower than Pentax launching new lenses

Please stop talking about something you have very little understanding of the Pentax uses the same sensor as the the phase one Hasselblad and is faster then them. I have just realised that you shot JPEG when using a high end camera what dumb thing to do most pros never shoot in JPEG they shot in RAW.
