A green ring always looks better! :-D But at 2kg, this lens is just too heavy! :-O

I don't think the weight is a problem. This lens is not to be used mainly hand-held, but rather on a tripod... Come on, let's not complain. This and the 70-200 are essential to bring some "pros" over to Pentax.

The Canon EF 200-400 f4 L is 3.62kg. Makes the Pentax look light.

I like "heavy" glass / metal lenses, the old Takumar-look a like's. I don't think 2 kilo is too big.
