Probably coming in May according to what I've heard.
Late may is all I can say....
Late April I mean. Darn now it doesn't rhyme....
It may be, probably, absolutely certain, about a month from what I've just heard from RiceHigh's Pentax Blog!

Are people really waiting for another APS-C that closely? I have the K5IIS and don't need anything else. I'm waiting for the full frame. Don't the APS-C users already have something good enough already?
I have my K-5 for 4 years and did have no incentive to upgrade since then!
The upgrade from the K-5 --> K-5 IIs was well worth it. Files from that camera hardly need sharpened much and the AF works under every kind of light imaginable, unlike the original K-5. That camera focuses in light so low that there isn't enough of it to even take a decent picture. You can't do that with a K-5. I have a K-3 and lately, I have begun preferring it over the K-5 IIs. It just is a better camera overall even if the sensor has a slight bit more noise.
It will come!

Disappointing that Pentax wasted even more resources on R&D that could have went into a FF that customers have been waiting to buy$$. I predict the K3II to be the absolutely worst selling camera in the history of photography. On the bright side I don't think Pentax will lose any of their customer base due to yet another "rehash of a existing product". They no longer have much of a customer base to lose. The customer base that has had the money to buy new cameras have already spent their money on a modern camera from a main stream manufacture that offers up to date photography equipment. Then folks wonder where the term "Pentax fools" comes from....

Pentax is gaining in market share and the imaging division has been highly profitable for Ricoh. Shows you how much you know. Oh and the FF R&D costs have already been invested since the camera is coming out in the fall. Development of a K-3 II would not have impacted that in any way. Who's the fool now?
I am sure I am one of the fools and could be the most stupid one who have been waiting since 2001 and eventually bought three different FF bodies from the mainstreams but is still awaiting! :-(
"good things come to those who wait"...
I strongly believe the "K-1" will be the best and most flexible/capable photography-centered digital camera... if it's the last of its breed, too, time will tell.
First off, fool, I am surprised you didn't take the chance to say....."absolutely worst selling camera in the history of photography, next to the KS1.)

Secondly, I bet the money spent on 'R&D' are absolutely minimal for a K-3II, as it will take functionality that has already been developed for the KS2 - i.e. NFC and wifi - and take functionality developed for FF - hopefully improved AF and video, well, um, everything. Maybe even a dab of stuff from the 645z (flip screen).

The camera will need that additional functionality to be able to ask for a premium over the K3 that has become real cheap. Its announcement will also have to come with some price point for the FF, as people who want the camera need to know that the FF will be out of their price range.

And one more thing, the more I think about it, the more I feel I will stick to APSc for the immediate future. For one, I have become accustomed to the range of my 16-50 and 70-200 2.8 lenses. In order to match that tele, I will need a 100-300, otherwise I will need to crop.
