Nice but, I am still waiting on delivery of my Pentax K1 it seems that in the Netherlands (Europe) the last month no K1 have been shipped :-(

Production capacity is a real problem with Pentax, even under Ricoh's ownership.

Btw, I am lucky to have my K-1 for use for one and a half month now.

Are you sure, 6x7? Seem strange no deliveries to Nederland so far. Maybe was small batches. I am living in Romania and I had lost already 3 small batches sent to local Pentax rep. Then, I start to scout shops in EU and found one in Paris which by chance had both K1 and 15-30. So, I am the happy owner of both since few days :-)

There have been 2 batches in the Netherlands one of 25 pcs and one of only 3 and that was it, I ordered mine in Februari, probably as number 29 :-(

I think the problem is worldwide because of the earthquake in China which damaged the Sony sensor factories.

That's just an excuse. The initial monthly production capacity is only in 7,000 units.

Btw, the earthquake was in Japan, not China.

What I understood it was the 1" sensor Factory that had problems.
But there might be other components in the K1 which are not available...

So far this is only seen in Japan and Hong Kong, for those early bird K-1 users as gift.

I am and have been VERY happy with my K-1 for six weeks now! And I am located in Germany.
