So far, at this price, I love my Q. It is just a lovely little DC, with very good image quality for a compact and is really very easy to carry anywhere and is surely very easy and a fun to use! And, the build quality is really impressive, it feels far more solid than my K-5 when put in my hands! :-o
Here are some quick samples, made directly out of the Q, the EXIF is preserved. I am actually impressed with that ISO 1000 shot, for the low noise and image details retained:-
Besides, the colour and exposure accuracy of this cam is not bad. More samples would follow later..

It is what it is and it isn't a replacement for a SLR but I am surprised after negative post after negative post after negative post. You decided to purchase a Q. after all?

I use my Q more often than my old istDS, which looks now a little bit clunky in my eyes.
Two weeks ago I got my new 06-TeleZoom (1:2,8/ 15-45 = 85 - 249 in 135), which is in optical quality on par with the 02-Zoom!
For the missing EVF I pimped my Q with an optical Viewer ( GV-2, 28). It has additional markers which represent nearly the 50 mmm Prime Lens. The GV-2 is a little bit smaller than the Pentax-model and cheaper.
It works from 28-50mm very sufficient in bright sun an the Q looks now somewhat like an oldfashioned Mini-Leica!
I enjoy the "HDR-auto" with +0,7 exposure-correction settings in daylight for a good dynamic range out of the camera with good results.
With his unremarkable appearance it allows photos in situations where my istDS was not useful !
Now I´m waiting for the ordered Pentax-K-Q-Adapter with own shutter for my old Pentax A 1,4 / 85....

i have the toy tele too, but that lens is a joke, i think the only MUSTHAVE toy lens is the fisheye, wich could deserve a better build/conception than a toy lens.
that Q is a little gem, its a fun path on photography, with a really nice tool, considering the customising potential, the feel of the object, and the IQ which is pretty good considering what could be expected from that little sensor.
The starting price was really HUGE, but when you got that camera in hands, it's a verry sturdy feel, doesnt feel like a toy.
it's a great object.
Have fun!
