Pentax "Spotmatic Digital" Concept / Imagination

The concept is not bad IMO, but it lacks at least one e-dial and a set of 4+1 way buttons! :-D And well, just imagine if it is even a Full Frame body! :-o

Not so easy to do as many think. That LCD on the imaginary Spotmatic D is way too small for today's age, the LV, focus peeking, etc. The body grip thickness can be similar or slightly thicker, but the camera would work best for smaller primes, not so much for lenses such as 70-210mm, 300mm, etc.

One idea many did not think about, is to do this kind of a retro body design, but with a modern APS-C sensor, for DA Ltd / FA Ltd lenses use mostly. DA Ltd lenses are all small enough and I would not mind that combo; when using a DSLR with DA Ltds, the total combo is actually bigger and bulkier. A thin, lighter, retro styled body would suit them much better.

Looks great - but in the end only a few would really buy, cause it would be very expensive today and with less comfort and bells and whistles... But looks great!
