its a real joy to use those AF lenses in manual ... bam

You boys are really funny that without AF one couldn't take any photos?

Sensors and lenses are far more important than AF. MF is not something that so "difficult" as you thought, especially with the help of focus peaking and MF assist (Live View magnification).

You joke ? AF lens are not a pleasure in AF mode. If I buy a several hundred (or thousands) camera, I hope to use the AF. We are no more in 80's
An FF lens are too too too huge and heavy. ALPHA 7 is a joke with FF lens, even a 24-70. Like a Q on a 560mm !!!

What's the point of this post?
Various (not all FF) Pentax lenses on a relatively new (and soon obsolete) Sony body. The lenses are AF capable, the body is not (with these lenses). These combinations are in almost every respect inferior to those involving a modern Pentax body (K-3, K-5, K-5 II), the only remarkable feature of the Sony is the sensor size.
So again, what is the point? That the lenses look good or what?

The point is you can still get those Sony sensors you like so much in your Pentax, use your old glass, and buy great new lenses without the fear of it becoming obsolete at Photokina 2014. I might buy another tilt shift lens (not autofocus), and the 15mm I've had my eye on.
P. S.
I admit auto-focus on a bright tele-zoom lens is a great feature, but a lot of FanBoys swear they must have auto-focus on an ultra-wide prime.
Rice, how do you find using the Pentax-DA 35mm f/2.4 in full frame sensor? Is it good? I hope you post many examples with it..

Some people complain about dust on the D600 sensor, but the sensors on mirrorless cameras are more or less always exposed to the elements and nobody worries. Could someone explain that ?

DA 35/2.4 AL does not have an aperture ring. So, does your adapter control the aperture?

There is neither FA 31 nor the FA 77 in your pictures. You used to consider the DA like toys, but now you prefer the DAs (35 and 70)?

I would like to see the results of the Pentax on a A7R too.

Which brand of adapter are you using?

Well Rice...You got your FF camera...No waiting anymore .... Your thirst and obssesion is finally put at rest .... peace and tranquility
Enjoy
Please show us the results. No points display camera and lens without results is like serving canned food with label but cannot see or taste what is inside
O, ye! The adapter works!
As you didn´t upload sample images, all I can say is:
What a bunch of photo UGLYINESS you have created there! Frankenstein!
No way I would pay usd2000 for a Sony MF-disponsable-unfinished camera. Maybe A7 mark II would worth it.

Now you have access to your "FF lens on FF sensor gear" maybe we can hope to see some samples. And maybe a A7R VS K-3 sample "battle". Because as it is often stated, this thread worth nothing without pics! ;-)
