Well it is sad that Pentax is mostly known in some circles as the manufacturer who makes cameras in novelty colors. We know Pentax is much more than that but it 's developing the reputation as the teenage/hipster fancycam company. It is cheaper and easier to change the color of a camera than come up with something totally new or revolutionary on the inside.

That said, the gold Q is pure kitsch. Fugly!.

Honestly, Pentax can't have long left now. Fuji and Sony are what I recommend and I was a big time Pentax user up to and including the K-3.
