Ricoh Pentax has Got a New Colour!

Great colour! I like it much more then silver and this color is really better. This is the real success of designers.

The product photos are slickly over-processed. Real world photos of this camera look much better. First color variation from Pentax I actually like!

So no K-3 successor for a long time. Probably new GR at Photokina. FF unlikely, but would probably be mirrorless if they did manage to make one. Please give us something to talk about Ricoh. I'm bored to death.

Photokina is coming and Ricoh unveiles the "uninteresting" products like XG-1 and new color schemes before it - logically meaning they have quite a few bigger announcements there and don't want to overwhelm them by the minor ones. This color scheme looks good and I don't see a reason to complain about anything - if you don't like it, don't buy it.

It looks pretty badass and should be the only color the K3 should have been launched on at first.

By the way: the XG1, the grey-K3, whatever comes out in Photokina must be bigger than this. I think the 70-200mm in the roadmap is a sign. But a shorter one is also required. Whatever. I dont wait for it myself.

It has been reported elsewhere that the exif data of the product photos of the gunmetal K-3 Prestige reveal that they were taken with a Hasselblad.
Not the 645Z, but a Hasselblad! Another astonishing misstep by Ricoh.

It's very possible your photographer will buy and use what he likes, he gets hired for his talent not because you won't let him use a 645-Z to photograph your brand of DSLR.

It's not true. The photos of K-3 Prestige have been made with the Pentax XG-1. :-)
That is why the EXIF data deleted from the file. :-)

That's quite normal. Why not a Hasselblad? Hasselblads are THE proffesional studio cameras, while 645Z is more of a "outdoor" medium format. I think even other camera makers use them for shooting their products. Even burgers on McDonald's commercials are photographed by Hassys.
The only fail is not deleting the EXIF on commercial pictures. It's the responsible worker's mistake, not company's...

They're making 2000 of them, so you have plenty of time to get one, or like most LatterDay-Pentaxians you can get a slightly different black K-3 when it goes on sale.

Just checked into PF. The average user of this brand is getting dumber and the excuses why FF isn't needed dumber yet.

You mention FF over there and they are all over you!

Will there be FF ever?

What's the rumours for Canon since we never get one? Any smaller 6D planned?

Hiya I see Pentax got APS-C they also got bigger than APS-c and also got smaller than APS-c ??? where is the problem
I love my pentax APS-c or whatever K3. I also love the D800&D3s combo Im sure if I was not happy with Pentax APS-c I would go with pentax APS-645
