Debug Mode Access to All Pentax Bodies (including K-1)

Great! The files are easy to create by ourselves if we know what to name them.

Note:

For Linux / Mac users

1. to create the debug mode file
$ echo -n "[OPEN_DEBUG_MENU]" > 00077970.562

2. to create zero byte file
$ touch DEVELOP.MOD

3. to create the hex file for K1
$ echo "00: 07 01 10 03 16 05 2C 1F 1E 2D" | xxd -r > DEVELOP.MOD

Sorry can't read Chinese, can anybody (Rice?) please post here what can be done with the debug mode, i.e. are there any additional features that can be unlocked?

Google Translate is your friend. ;-D

In short, put specific files at the root directory of the SD card, and then press the menu button with SD card door opened while turning on the camera, for the newer bodies. Older bodies require only one file and SD card door need not to be opened. The files can be edited by oneself or just directly downloaded from the provided Baidu links with the passwords given.

Can anyone confirm that extracting lens roms has been gutted from the K-3 and newer firmwares? From what I understand it only works on the K-5 IIs and older.
