I wanted a Pentax Full Frame DSLR, but not at this price. They"ll have to make it less than half that price with a lot of BIG MODERN DAY improvements before I"ll get serious about buying one. Nobody else charges that much for a 35mm FF-DSLR Pro Model. Doesn't Ricoh know we have opposable thumbs and walk upright.

It's not fullframe, it's allmost double the sensor area of FF + twice the resolution than common 24Mps FF sensors. Hence the price (cheap for what it is).
A 44x33mm sensor is just 68% more area than a 135 FF sensor in 36x24mm. On the other hand, a 135 FF sensor is 125% more in area than an indeed tiny APS-C sensor in 24x16mm.
"Indeed tiny"
...well, that says everything about your obsession with BIG sensor cameras:-)
The figures are self-explanatory. Period.
You are wrong. Nikon and Canon charge more for cameras that are cropped sensor in comparison to this Pentax.

How many Pentax 645 lenses you have? If you are only a K-mount Pentax user, a 135 FF body is not cropped, but just fit. An APS-C body is really cropped and much cropped. A 645D/Z body, on the other hand, is completely NOT compatible, and is out of reach for most old Pentax users for its high price, many of whom have already switched anyway.
Isn't the game of 645Z, to carry new users to Pentax field?, and maybe, who knows, attract them to K mount as well?
They do not hope that I wil buy this camera. There are others who do. Those are the ones they target, not me.
I am whom they targeted but most likely I will not buy the Z!

I haven't switched yet. Somehow I bought too many qualtiy Pentax lenses. It's a shame I can't use them as designed or sell them easily since so many have switched already.

So are they really making a full frame this year? Pentax? There's people at PF that say it is still possible this year. True or not?

If you buy a medium format camera and put medium format lenses on it, while telling people full frame lenses are to big and heavy for a DSLR, then you've taken pretzel logic to a new level.
P. S.
A 12MP DSLR will give you a 12 inch by 18 inch photo, without editing.

Don't use inches, feet, miles, gallons and pounds here. This site is read by a lot of engineers who know better.
