K-3 Mirror Flapping User Survey (A Common and Serious Issue is Confirmed)

http://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/172-pentax-k-3/254464-k3-crazy-mirror-sickness-mirror-flapping-lockup-report-yours-here.html

As we can see, there are so many K-3 users, in a total of 71 numbers, reported the same mirror sickness problem. It is concluded that the issue is simply not isolated and it is just  serious and common enough.

Some K-3 users are really pissed off and they are much disappointed/upset/angered. Look at this recent example and detailed user report:

I don't think it's the R & D engineers fault, most bloggers fixate on what will turn a quick profit for Ricoh and want to cut cost by ignoring what Photographers want. If and when Ricoh adresses any problems (past, present, future) it will be back-burnered until Ricoh has "painted themselves into a corner" by not allowing photographers to choose Pentax OEM full frame lenses at a reasonable price!
I like how you post this and yet ignore the revelation that the 645Z will shoot 4k video, but hey why not just focus on the negative? Personally if you ask me this is not that big of a deal. Pentax will fix any affected cameras and the problem will go away. Compare to Nikon, who released a flawed camera that made it unusable for a lot of people and then denied the problem, even to the point of releasing a 2nd fixed model as a "successor." It wasn't until the words class action lawsuit rolled through the news that they decided to even act. Now we have news of Canon charging people for repairs on known product defects and I could go on. How are the light leaks in your A7? :) Compare to fuji that fixed the x10 sensor and continually updates even older cameras via firmware. The mirror flop is a pentax fault because it is triggered by a faulty component that causes a reset. That's why the k-5 mirror flopped and I'm guessing its the same problem. The system resets and the mirror cycles. Just send in any faulty cameras. They will b fixed. Yeah, it sucks, but every manufacturer has problems with early production runs and they slowly revise out fault causing hardware. Look at how many revisions video game consoles go through. Its the same with any electronics and cameras are far more electronic than mechanical now. They are basically imaging computers in a camera shape.
