Ha, Good to compare. The morons and naysayers are out in full force on the forums.

"Well, I'd buy, but I switched to MFT because my back couldn't take the weight". So many people with back problems that are also photographers! Unbelievable.

Another moron put a review for the K1 at BH. They gave it 3 stars because it didn't have 1080p60 and wasn't mirrorless like they wanted! A 3 star review for something that hasn't been released yet. Morons..

The FF five-axis IBIS system adds weight of about 200g, just see A7r Vs A7r2, the weight difference is there.
Your point being ...? If you can't carry your camera, start pottery, or something.
Rating bullshit, camera seems (very) good, next steps: new high grade lenses, 2.8 300, 2.8 400 (DO), 4.0 500, 4.0 600, 5.6 800 all aluminium/magnesium, ligt to carry. Or is this keep dreaming?
Rating nonsense, camera seems (very) good, next steps: new high grade lenses, for example: 2.8 300, 2.8 400 (do), 4.0 500, 4.0 600, 5.6 800, all made of magnesium/aluminium, light to carry, or is this "keep dreaming"?
Question to the older Pentaxians here: doesn't Pentax have designs for most of these in their shelves, i.e. the old FA*-lens lineup? Those are lenses they could - with little effort - equip with SDM and bring to market?
I'd LOVE to see that happen...
I (Pentaxian since 1984) think they have, I will make an overview.
My reality is back-problems also, do weight is sn issue ..... Regarding new (high grade) lenses: may be Ricoh can collaborate with Samyang. I have kept the Samyang 135 2.0 lens in my hand, very high quality and very high resolution (Zeiss comparable). May be joint-venture can bring the 2 companies further: seriously compete with canon and nikon......
The K-1 is compact, but heavy. So, it is quite dense and will have a very solid feel. :-P
Brick? silly joke, sorry......
Rock solid it is! ;-)
I look forward to using the new camera!

The differences between dimensions are only relative. Probably the Nikon lenses are heavier for having Image Stabilisation in it.

My back has never hurt from the equipment I carry during photoshoots. If it is too heavy for you, don't take it with you or get yourself some good carrying bags, with wheels for instance, or a strong assistant. Complaining is so stupid.
I agree! Never complain, just make fun with shooting!
In my opinion there isn't even a huge difference from a mirrorless system to a full frame system, unless you compare a full frame with a 28-70 2.8 and a mirrorless with a pancake lens! The difference is even less if you carry around your gear with a backpack or a bag, especially if you also carry your tripod! I moved from a K7 to a sony A7, and the difference in weight was unnoticeable. The move from an aluminum tripod to a carbon one was not big, but huge in comparison! When going around with only the camera and one lens you can feel the difference, but it is traded with the obligation to bring a spare battery and the need to be more careful as mirrorless are usually more fragile!
I think this is the camera I was waiting for. It is worth the wait, unfortunately, the wait was a little too long.

I wonder what the FA*250-600 and F*250-600 are like on 36Mpixels. Probably not as good as the hype.

It's probably not a coincidence these lenses came on the second hand market after not being seen for years after the A7R was released. The fisheye zoom was hard to get too, but not once 36M came around.

I suspect the same for the FA*200f4 macro, which is also excessively hyped, right? I bet new releases of 200 macros will beat it.
