Pentax K-z/K-s/K-300 - What Should It Be?

The K-z has a maximum of 120 millions of colour combinations whilst the K-s has 480. But then the K-s has 20 body colours while the K-z has only 12. The K-z, if it is true, is obviously re-using the K-r body, as what can be seen.

On the other hand, some people from Europe told me that this camera would be called K-300 instead of K-z, which is no good for German, AFAIK.

Unless this is a hoax, everything should be true but yet (previously) undecided, IMHO.

To call it k-z in germany would nearly be suicide for any product. Kz is an abbreviarion rhat was used by the nazis for the concentration camps. It's absolutely stupid thing to do sth. Like this by marketing. It is as stupid as naming your product 'ausschwitz'. It is even impossible to get this letter combination on your cars' license plate afaik.

I had thought Hoya was worst now following Pentax brand after Richo acquisition is giving nightmere and depression or shock at what marketing or product development talent they have now...

As long as it comes in Black, has a 16MP sensor, improved AF, and is priced below 650, I don't care what they call it. Call it Shamalamadingdong-300.

Don't think Pentax can put anything serious out any more, it seems to be dying star alread 5 years, still shining a bit but fuel has been consumed. For me worst thing has been AF quality with no 2.8 center sensor. I think they still do not have it.

The K-30's AF module is improved over the K-5, and is quite fast and accurate. Now if only Pentax would stop with the huge jumps in lens pricing in the States. It's an outrage what a 16-50 and 50-135 cost now, almost double the previous price. Note to Pentax: customers sit around to be taken advantage of. There is a lot of competition out there.
