PF Comparison on the "New" HD DA Limiteds Against the Original SMC Versions

http://www.pentaxforums.com/reviews/hd-pentax-limited-primes/introduction.html

This shootout must be great for the PF guys! They should be able to sell *either* more of the old SMC stocks or the new HD ones! Brilliant! ;-p

I like that the SMC was improved without any fuss made about it, and the fact that the HD coating is an improvement over the medium format coating, I'll evan speculate that without the HD they would like close to as much for their lenses. They need to rely more on advertising and less on word of mouth if they refuse to make much of a noticeable change with their lenses that will be weather resistant, and if they want their photographic equipment to get a lengthy review worth reading minor changes won't cut it. I don't get arm weary enough to budget my for lighter lenses (that quickly get expensive as the quality slowly gets better) no matter who makes them, if I did it would have a universal lens mount like the 4/3 rather than give control of my wallet to one company.
P. S.
A few high quality FF Primes (24mm f/1.4 & 85mm f/1.4) with WR & HD would sell magazines that reviewed them, tell everyone a FF-DSLR is coming and show Ricoh ain't pigeon-holed but is diversifying the Pentax line

I though the review was on a reputable site and might be worth taking a look at. But that is not the case.

Let's talk about the pics! :-D
Concerning bokeh, they said there is not a lot of difference between HD/SMC.
Concerning flare and ghosting, the difference is more easy to view. I prefer SMC for 15mm and 70mm.
Next great thing from Ricoh is the new line of lenses with UHD coating and a blue ring, meanwhile, it isn't far away, Canon can celebrate the 10th anniversary of the EOS 5D.

I wish they never came out with these lens, soooooo much useless complaining about Red vs. Green, FYI Red is the colour of Ricoh's and Pentax's font...so Red is logical.
HD coating, they couldn't very well call it SSMC Super Super Multi Coating now could they?

God, who really cares anymore!? The difference between old and new versions is pretty marginal. I personally refuse to buy any AF lens that isn't FF and doesn't have an aperture ring. More poop from anti-progressive PF.

Gonna place my order for the Canon6d at $1415. Finally getting a full frame. Thanks sony-guy for the heads up. I'll check back in three years and see if Pentax finally gets a full frame option for its full frame mount.
