Brilliant idea, good imagination and nice PS work! :-D Unfortunately, it seems that Pentax/Ricoh do not have the same mentality! >:-(

This is exactly what I want! A old school look with a top end sensor and viewfinder.

Don't like it. Wheels should be easily accesible (they are not at this mockup). Still, the ergonomics left ahead since those days, it's just not up there.

The K-5's interface is much better, IMHO. I'd have real control dials than that rocker thing, btw.

By the way, Pentax would have to actually make a real, working product - which is impossible in that form. No room for electronics, bigger battery, no obvious way to control lenses without aperture rings (or with the aperture ring set to 'A')... it is a quick Photoshop job, and is working like one.

give me full frame in body of K5 with lack of shitty paint and make pentaprism bigger - take off flash make ttl work make af work :).
That what I want. Retro go to instagram :)

take mz-5's uncrppled lens mount and quiet mirror/shutter assembly over to the body of a K-5 and we will have a winner.

Are you sure the MZ-5's shutter/mirror is quieter than that of the K-5? ;)
Btw, the MZ-5n can do about 2fps (but this includes the film transport).

My film *ist is about the same as Nikon V1, why they can non produce mirrorless compact hybrid system with FF sensor, really do not understand why up to date technology is so much bulkier. V1 is quite fast and responsive camera much better than *ist and MZ-S.
