OK.. It's got video RAW out??? The specs are better than the BMCC??? Are we sure about that?
No mention of focus peaking?

Video RAW, but why not 60fps@1080p?
I can't wait for the FF version (ie; I'm getting a differant brand APS-C w/ FF lenses for my New Years resolution), I never said one or the other but not both.
Finally, what do you think Rice?
Nice stats but all those improvements for video and I bet that cmos sensor still gives tons of jello effect.
price?
Would be nice to know if colours and white balance still have the magic of the K-7 and K-5. (afaik, part of that magic was gone with K-5 II, which I do not own).

Also, I'm curious if there are ANY features of the K-5 that are missing in the K-3, or if EVERYTHING is still there. Because I regard the K-5 as the nearly perfect amateur outdoor camera.

Anyway, I'll be most probably an early buyer of a K-3.

The "optional AA filter" is a really nice idea. Pentax is still an innovation leader in many aspects.

Also, would be nice to know about any new "limited" lenses. (idea: revive the FA*85 formula as a "limited")
Not a chance. The FA85 is a full frame lens. They have the DA55 for APSC to meet that focal length.

I'm confused why they have DFA lenses, however. Why are there DFA lenses? Please explain that.

Just in case they release FF, which hasn't happened yet?

PENTAX LAUNCHES K-3 TO CHALLENGE CANON AND NIKON

Read more at http://www.amateurphotographer.co.uk/photo-news/5...
The German site now shows more details of the new camera: http://www.ricoh-imaging.de/de/spiegelreflexkamer...
Some specsheet files on my blog :)
http://www.priyantha.nl/?p=572

And also some pictures of the new kit including some pictures which are supposed to be made by the K3 itself :D http://www.priyantha.nl/?p=462
I'll pick one up when it falls below $700 in a year or two.
Wow, 8.3 FPS 22 raw image buffer. I wonder how well the new AF will work for sports.
I am also curious to see ISO 3200 raw samples. I shot sports, and sometimes at night under crapy lighting.
I realize this will in no way compete with the D4 or 1DX, though for the price this could be the first real sports capable APS-C camera.

Hey FanBoys, WHEN will you buy one (long after Ricoh expected), I just pre-ordered 1 of 2000 silver models (with battery grip) for $1600 you can pre-order it in black without battery grip for $1300, if you mean what you say. P. S. If and when Ricoh comes out with a FF DSLR I'll buy it (keeping this new K-5III) unless I need an ASP-C DSLR of the same brand as the FF DSLR I buy.

Is the Pentax Prime III engine equal to Fujisu Milbeaut 7th generation?
No FF announcement?

The IIs was the last Pentax then!?!?
"Ricoh has stated that Pentax is a 'brand' now, similar to 'Lumix' on Panasonic cameras"

By the way Rice, the F/2.8 autofocus sensors, isn't that what you demanded a while ago? So you should give them credit, they listened to you!
