We all know how poor the pentax QC is. It's clear the current pentax stuff quality is about the worst of all camera makers.
So, this product will have the following features:
1) The worst IQ among interchangeable lenses mirroless systems (ILMS) due to the smallest sensor.
2) The worst quality among all cameras, including P&S
3) The highest price among others ILMS
Being completely untrustworthy to Pentax stuff (due to their growing prices but shrinking quality), I won't definitely buy this.

my personal experience with Pentax is quite to the contrary. Every single piece of Pentax equipment I ever bought performed flawlessly. Some pieces performed way better than specified, i.e. my K10D, after having been dropped from eyelevel to a marble floor, has a broken SR/orientation sensor but is otherwise working perfectly. No visible image deterioration.
While I understand the pain of customers who experience quality problems, the statement "Pentax has the worst QC in the industry" is far from being well-founded and more of an emotional bad-mouthing than a serious observation. Please refrain from such statements unless you can personally relay at least anecdotal experience documenting the differences between Pentax' and other manufacturer's quality. Nikon, Canon and others sure have their own gripes about trouble with new camera models!
Apart from that, some of the issues that Rice likes to place square on Pentax' bill are not even Pentax! The "stained image sensor" for example - the sensor is manufactured by Sony, and Pentax offers free repair/replacement to anyone affected. So what remains to complain? In today's market pressure, a company has to bring new things fast to market. If a customer is not even willing to accept a warranty exchange as risk, he/she should avoid new products of any brand and instead buy older models.
Your "predictions" about a future Pentax product are nothing but a personal rant against that brand. Zero information.
I will buy a mirrorless K-mount should it become available. I will buy it as a toy and a backup. My main camera is, and will remain, a DSLR, the only serious choice for the serious hobbyist looking for serious fun.
BTW, I think the O-GPS1 just proved again how innovative Pentax is and how they can still surprise the whole world with cool stuff. Astrotracing! I am sure Nikon and Canon will bite themselves in the ass (a German saying) because with their lens-based SR systems they are not able to copy that. That's COOL, I say! - I will buy one of the first but expect the need for several firmware changes until all features work perfectly.

K10? Dude, I'm talking about modern stuff, not the tools produced by cavemen ;)
So, here it is: K-5 AF module, K-r AF module, K-5 sensor stains, K-7 SR causing blur (I have the same issue with my K-5 actually).
Didn't you hear complaints about SDM? About the *16-50, when people need to try 3-4 items to take one that works properly (but still has a risk of SDM getting death), etc.
Usually they are zooms which suffer most from the bad quality (because they are much more complicated). So, I dropped any plan to buy them (I thought about getting one 60-250). I also bought a metz 58 flash instead of pentax 540 one. The only thing that holds me on Pentax is their FA Ltds (not DA Ltds, they are just overpriced with their mediocre rendition), the FA* 85 and old A 50 f1.2.

The K10 is an example for a product that for me personally performed better than expected. The "modern stuff", i.e. apparently manufactured after you came out of your cave, performed to specification.
On your "FA vs DA" rant - I wonder whether you bother to check facts before you write - well I like the FAs for what they are, but your statement that the DAs have mediocre rendition is just plain wrong - they are excellent.
Between the FA43 and the DA40 there is no clear winner, it is a question of personal preference and features needed for a specific task.
Same is true for FA77 vs DA70. I love both but won't tell you one is better and the other mediocre. The 77 is faster and has slightly better bokeh, on the other hand the 70 does not have the nasty purple fringing issue.
And now to the holy shrine: the FA31 vs the DA35. Both render beautifully, the 31 is a tad sharper, but the 35 can do macros! so there is a whole world of things you can do with the 35 which you cannot with the 31.
There is no FA counterpart for the DA21 and 15. With the 15, sometimes people have issues with CA in the borders. I understand, but when you look at the suggested alternative lenses, those won't fit in anyone's trouser pocket.
I like to add the DA100 macro WR. Not designated a "limited", maybe because the hood and cap are made out of plastic, but this lens would surely honor the list of limiteds. (side remark: why do all limiteds have to have metal caps? the screw-on caps of the DA15 and DA40 are beautiful but impractical and were soon replaced with snap-on caps by me)
No, Denis, your bad-mouthing the wonderful line of compact, Zeiss/Leica-like but comparably inexpensive, optimized-for-digital, quick-shift-equipped, DA limiteds is just touting your inexperience.
Back to the original issue: quality. Pentax manufactures high quality and innovative stuff. Quality issues fo hand in hand with that business model. No Nikon, Canon, Sony, Leica, or any other company is an exception to that rule. Your complain should go to Pentax service, your public bad-mouthing should wait until your warranty case is unjustly rejected.
Case closed for me.
