A K-30 Died Within Seconds Upon a Small Water Splash! :-o

See this post and story: http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3292877

I really feel for that K-30 user, how reliable his WR camera is! :-o

Btw, it seems that the sealing of the rear LCD is weak and the QC of that part is not really that good, see the previous similar problem reports below:-

Dust Accumulates Inside the LCD of K-5 Silver

K10D Dust Proof?

Well, I now know why Pentax has created the new  "air-gapless" design of the LCD, as it seems that they get rid of the outer window of it so that no more water and dust are trapped inside so as to avoid the problem! ;->

It must be the user's own fault again!
ok, someone posted short info and two low-quality photos and you making conclusion about whole pentax on it? does other manufacturers absolutely perfect every sold dslr in their history? this article grieves me, because is not correct.

It is surely an "isolated case", I agree!
Let's all splash water on our K-30 LCD's and see if it's really an "isolated case", ok? I bet there are few takers. I smell a fatal flaw.

Why would you want to teach you K-30 how to swim?
Last year I dropped my K7 and my brand new DA*300 in a marsh, half of the camera and the lens was in mud and water. I did not panic, I went to find some running water, rinsed all, then wiped with a real chamois and it is beat great ever since. I have my doubt onto the story above.
My K10 is virtually a submarine.
