Bingo! The New DFA 100 Macro WR Announced!

(Click to Enlarge! The Look is Super Clear! Picture(s') Source: pentax.ru)

This is no more a rumour, it is real! The lens is announced:

Let's wait for the Pentax Full Frame body to come, together with a new Full Frame lens lineup (and the dismissal/fall of the DA line)! Well, we shall have a Full Frame system "soon", my bet!

On the other hand, at the same time, the old DFA 100 Macro is discontinued:-

After all, once again, when I judged things to be real, they are real! ;-)

wow new FA lens. this is a strong signal.
I can't wait! I refused to buy DA lenses because I saw them as a compromised format. Now that new D FA's are coming out I will start buying again. I love my FA limiteds and can't wait for a FF Pentax DSLR!
nice to have this lens in wet morning grass and bushes
just compare size and weight of this lens to last canon 100mm macro, double smaller this gem is.

Sure but the Canon is IF (it doesn't extend when focusing close), has super fast USM and a focus limiter.

Construction wise though, the Pentax is a winner.
Rice, can you identify this lens? I got it from photo rumors

A 400f4 should be the diameter of a 300f2.8 and longer... this lens looks a lot like the 300f4, maybe a bit longer but I suspect it has something to do with the heavy distorsion of the image.

If it's a 400mm, it's more likely a f5.6 than a f4 (which is actually a good news for me since a 400f4 would cost around 3-4000€...)
