Should Pentax Market the K-7 Like This?

Source: http://canonfieldreviews.com/7d-1-weather-sealing/

Compared To: The Pentax K-7 Brochure

Update: Thanks to David, I have just discovered these K-7 showcase photos!

But unlike the above 7D show, it still lacks a photo *produced* by the K-7 (but not photos of the camera) under that adverse condition. Might be that K-7 had already died? ;-D Lol..

Btw, I think that snowy and windy environment of the 7D case is more severe, as it did not only require weather sealing, but also cold resistance.

But who knows if the Pentax could operate after this abuse?

The most telling thing is that the photographer chose Canon in the first place - as virtually all pro nature photographers do (along with many Nikon users, of course).

Gotta love the seal about to snack on the tripod leg in the foreground!
Canon ads is stronger in this promotion because it shows real life photographers actually using it. It is more honest rather than posed camera photos. However both cameras weather sealing ability are impressive.
The master who repaired my DA*16-50 said that weather sealing of Pentax lenses is outstanding. Canon L-lenses are lower class than Pentax. Olympus pro-grade lenses are the same class as Pentax. Nikon and Canon are lower.
The camera was switched off under the "rain". :-(
This video is boring. And it shows only that the K10D is splash-proof for just a few seconds for a few minor splashes.
nice, a new class of camera: the sport utility camera (SUC for short)
The Canon 7D from visual inspection is not sealed as well as any Pentax WR dSLR. The memory card door lacks compete sealing its enough to withstand rain for awhile but not a dust storm, or heavy rain all day which a Pentax WR dSLR takes in stride. Really few bodies are as well sealed as Pentax WR dSLRs thats one thing they did right with no short cuts.
