Updated Q Lens Roadmap to Show Effective AoV with Different Sensors

http://www.pentax.jp/japan/products/lens/images/Q_Mount_Lens.pdf

01 to 07 lenses on Q/Q10 against Q7 are shown. The crop factors / multiplying factors of the 3 toy lenses are complicated, as they are all different on the Q7!

What a waste of resources. Pentax needs to wake up before all of their customers walk away. Where is Full Frame? Where are the new lenses?

Couldn't agree more..... Pentax were is the 16-85 WR lens ?
So pentax should give up on a system that is currently selling well and making them money? Brilliant strategy! I'm quite sure good things are coming. The new GR Digital is currently getting excellent reviews as well.
Just because PR has no resource and is not willing to put more on development, they have made and marketed mediocre products like these, i.e. a Q10 body with a replaced sensor which is now called the Q7 and a body cap "lens", yet another toy lens actually!
I wouldn't say no resource or budget for the product development, it's more lacking creativity and innovation. Look how Fuji develop their lineup, the latest XM-1 really looks sexy. I don't think Fuji has more resource and budget than PR. With the current development, Pentax's strong point on the pancake lens just become meaningless.
Yes, I expected that Pentax made a smaller and lighter DSLR to compete with the Canon EOS100D. Together with the thin and high quality DA pancake lenses and lineup of Pentax, that will surely be a winner. That will boost sales of the pancake lenses, too. Unfortunately, they didn't!
The k-500 is the same size as a K-R which is nearly the same size as an EOS100D!
Nope. It is much larger and heavier!

The Q10 camera, in Japanese fiscal Q3 2012, was the top seller in the mirrorless market.
I understand that visitors of his blog are large DSLR camera aficionados, who love to show the size of their equipment, but all that comes with tunnel vision too. Q system is gaining more and more users with each new day and is incredibly smart move.
Yes, that's waist of time. How many peoples will switch over to Q-system?
Maybe I am wrong. Maybe they have good marketing.

I have the Q system myself. The Q is never meant to be a main system, but an interchangeable lens DC with DSLR alike operation after all, which is usually meant to be a second system for most people.
Just hope someday there are Q with WR.

One thing for sure. They cured my LBA! Eventually you give up on full frame coming and it becomes pointless to buy anymore of the full frame classics or any new DA lenses too. I see good lenses sit for weeks at that used camera place even after that guy on dpreview (the bighorn sheep expert) announces them to the world. Ones I would have snapped up right away in the past. The price of the good full frame lenses is baked in, yet there is still no full frame in sight. Pointless to buy them and I'm ok with that now.

Me too, but the LBA only stopped for new Pentax glass, but not for Canon and Zeiss for myself! :-o
