German IFA 2013: Ricoh Will be On Show

The IFA show  is coming next month, from 6 to 11 September. This show is meant for consumer electronics and digital products. A quick search at their official page found that Ricoh will be on show:



But yet entering key word of "Pentax" in the same search page gives two returns, one Sigma lens and one Metz flash. So, the Ricoh booth above is the only real Pentax related thing that is found, hopefully!

After all, I expect Ricoh will not be there to show photocopiers of theirs. So, what will be shown? K-50 and Q7?? :-o

Thanks for the heads-up, I'm one of the few Pentaxian's who aint got no Metz flash yet and I see Sigma has reassured us they will refit some of their Art Series lenses for what-ever DSLR I switch to. Both good reasons to keep my Ricoh made cameras !

I would expect some kind of announcement soon. They can't just sit on repackaged cameras from last year and an aging K-5 forever.

Pentax is Ricoh. I would expect Ricoh to market all the photography gear the produce. Note: I also expected Pentax would have already produced a FF so what do I know...

I do hope there will be something that is really new. But objectively there should be no ground-breaking thing at a general consumer electronic show! In fact, Pentax Ricoh failed to show anything that was really new inside at the last Photokina, which is yet the biggest photo gear show biennially, what should we expect this time?

Perhaps Ricoh Imaging will reveal some new hi-end rumors and, possibly, another company name change.

Next year will be:"wait till photokina. Maybe they'll announce FF"

And the same lame arguments on PF why they shouldn't do it from some cheapskates
from up north!!
