It could be a nice camera if it had a 60p fHD, newer sensor and better AF..the one from K-3. Btw does the stabilisation works for video?

I don't know if you guys noticed, but Ricoh finally managed to extract a "Not bad" from Rice. Now that calls for a celebration! That's probably one of the highest compliments Rice has bestowed upon Ricoh since they bought Pentax. This might mean the future doesn't look so gloomy for Pentax anymore in Rice's book.

Maybe I have finally received enough money like many others do, whom have praised Pentax for years no matter how! ;-)

Btw, this is a good start and will wait for the FF, for another one year! :-(
Glad to read that you think this is a good start. I checked the roadmap yesterday and there was only a DA planned in K-mount. I checked it again today and was delighted to find they had added 3 D-FAs which cover nice focal lengths. So all in all, I agree with you that this is a good start. Pentax might be late to the FF party, but hey, better late than never. Now let's wait and see what Ricoh is cooking for Pentax in 2015...

The FF is delayed about ten years than others. I am not sure if Pentax FF will survive or not, eventually!
With all the legacy FF compatible Pentax lenses lying around, I think there are many potentional customers. Hope they won't go crazy on their pricing and keep focussing on quality rather than quantity (there is no need for 5 FF's like Nikon has).
But I have full confidence in current Pentax/Ricoh management. Their latest releases seem (very) good products and more importantly, commercially viable choices, except maybe the K-S1, but even that one, Ricoh quickly realised and countered with the K-S2.

There's adapters for the mirrorless cameras already. The cheapo manual focus lenses that speculators bought up in anticipation of this FF will still sit around.

This FF will change the demand for the good legacy autofocus lenses. Like the under-rated F series. I'm getting the spectacular and underrated fisheye zoom. RH had a review of this lens in 2008. The old manual focus lenses had their day, but it is time to move on. They are SO overrated and overpriced.

The new f2.8 zoom looks very very good, BTW.
This is one very nice looking camera. Well done, specially after that embarrassment of the KS-1.
Specs look good too. Hope Ricoh sells truckloads of these, to fund the FF development...
