Canon Announcement Coming?

After the announcement wars between Sony and Nikon recently, I've heard in the wild that Canon will make an earlier "pre-Photokina" announcement on tomorrow, possibly for the announcement of the upcoming 60D body, which has been rumoured for long.

Let's see if there is really something comes up by tomorrow, then! :-)

Fine by me - means Olympus and Pentax will be the only ones making announcements at Photokina

They just need to be great....

With a market share of <4% not a lot of people are looking forward to those Pentax announcements, if any.
/ unless they bring a FF dslr out, which would stir a lot of interest, after Canon,Nikon,Sony... lets hope...

Yes, but that is just a chicken and egg problem.

Few people are interested in Pentax products because they are "small". They are small now just because they lack interesting products over years and always late (plus all those quality problems). So, in the end, if this cycle and loop continues, the brand will die!

It died once, following the hostile take-over by Hoya.
Now it lives under "intensive care".. HOYA have expressed unofficially that they would like to get rid of it.
Lets see what happens next
