K-5 is overexposed by one stop.

Plus, no one has yet the production model for A77.. These are all pre-production models
These are JPG comparisons. As I shoot exclusively in RAW (like most photographers buying high-end DSLRs), I don't care about the JPG engine of the camera. That's essentially what's compared here, rather than the sensor itself.
Take RAW files of both cameras and develop them with exactly the same LR parameters. Then you can really start comparing the real IQ of both cameras. For RAW shooting the K5 is still the best APS-C camera on the market, way ahead of the A77.

I am not scared of the a77 after looking at the 1600iso photos - the K5 clearly shows more detail than the Sony.
Imaging Resource has photos from both the k5 and a77. At ISO 12800, the K5 is significantly better than the A77. Look at the red and pink cloth, on the A77 they are unrecognizable smears. It would be interesting to see and compare the RAWs though. Sony's noise reduction algorithms are not pleasant.

Ok, that sucked.

I have no idea (web server configuration?) but my browser tries to download the pictures instead of showing them. So that was useless.

dudes, it`s not entirely about a sensor...how can you compare two different cams? one is rugged tank, meant to go into jungle/mountians/desert, another one is lightweight small camera created for urban/home use?
i hope you got the idea of this useless measurbation :)

now, STFU - and go shoot something! :)
