Check Shutter Count & Manufacturing Date of Your Pentax Body Online

You may find this online tool by the PF useful:

I haven't tried myself but I believe that it should work~ Alternatively, you can check the SC offline with some other EXIF tools. For instance, PhotoME is the most popular choice, which can be downloaded here. Just open an original JPEG image produced by any Pentax (now Ricoh) camera and search for the EXIF tag with the string of "shutter count" or something like that. That's it! :-)

I've used this tool a number of times and can confirm it works and is accurate. It showed the same data for my K-7 as MyShutterCount.com and for my K-3 it also provided complete data.
The latest available version of PhotoME doesn't seem to display the Manufacturer's Notes section of the EXIF for either K-3 DNG or JPG. This is the section that contains the shutter count. The shutter count check at PentaxForums works with JPGs, but are there any other standalone EXIF-reading applications that show the shutter count?

Try Exiftool 9.62 for windows in combination with graphic user interface ExiftoolGUI. 5.15. I don't know about the K-3 but they show the shutter count of all Pentaxes older than the K-3.
