My guess is that K-2 = K-r, as "r" and "2" have the same pronunciation in Mandarin. The ebay seller is simply trying to increase search hit rate.

Asahi Pentax K2 already exists. So it would be confusing to call it Pentax k-2 = Digital SLR while PentaxK2 = film SLR.

Wasn't there already months ago a rumor about the Pentax EVIL using a Sony sensor inferior to the one used in the K-5, perhaps the same as in the K-r. So it would make sense to use the same K-r battery as well. I have personally zero inside information, but wouldn't be very surprised is the EVIL turned out to be very similar in the K-r in most ways.

Hmmm... Another low end model. It shares the battery from the K-r, not the K-5.

Why doesn't Pentax offer something in the vain of full frame. It's sad that Pentaxians have to ask Ricoh for a full frame K mount module for the capable GXR.

Pentax: bottom feeding since 1975!!!
