Which colour will you get for your new Q10?
i like the red one
Vastly bored by the endless wittering about sensor sizes.
The physics is obvious; the sums are easy; the progress of technology is not that fast.

Bigger sensor with fewer megapixels = better quality.

So it comes down to a really tedious discussion about the tradeoff between megapixels, sensor size, and the size of the plastic box they're all shoved into.

Yawn.
Actually the real equation, true in all circumstances I've so far seen:

quality = sensor area / number of megapixels.

So nothing to see here, move along.

BTW - have a Q. Love it. Have a K20d. Also love it.
Couldn't care less about FF because it'll make my lens collection obsolete.

However and similarly, APS-C defeats the original purposes of all my FF glass!
Not really... It takes the centre of them, which is the sharpest bit, and leaves out the corners... Which're usually a bit iffy, bearing in mind the museum pieces people are talking about when they hark back to this nostalgic era of 1980s glass.

Lens technology has moved on rather, so 1. the old lenses are probably out-resolved by the sensors (with a handful of commendable, rare and expensive exceptions) and 2. a small number of the more modern lenses techically cover a FF image circle but were undoubtedly designed with APSC in mind foremost. so probably won't stand up to much scrutiny on a FF body.

I support that wrt the FA 77 Limited, which was a disappointment to me after all the hype. The DA 70 Limited is better. However, should a Pentax FF ever appear, I'd redo the comparison and pay attention to the borders/corners (the DA 70 IS FF-capable but nobody knows about its performance).
Image corners are not sharp enough but I think it is still reasonable:-
