Last time I have searched for the whole document, there is no information of any for mentioning about the f/2.8 AF sensor for this "new" camera. So, the mystery about its layout and compatibility / usability with different lenses are yet unknown!
Speaking of the K-5II, IR has put their measurbation RAW(DNG) and JPEG files onto their website. So, pixel peeping time again! (Via 1001 Noisy Cameras.)

The users need to know which AF sensor(s) can be used with which/what lens(es) afterall! It seems that some Pentax users like you are easy to cheat anyway!

Last night I downloaded the DNGS and use RAWtherapee to convert them to JPEGs at neutral settings and Amaze demosaicing without post processing. Gotta say the advantage of K-5IIs is noticable against the K-5II if you are a pixel peeper. The IIs' are a little bit sharper and a little less noisier than the II.
I downloaded also the 1D X raws (the closest FF in terms of MPs) and found that the K-5IIs is actually as sharp as the 1D X!

However, the smaller photopixel sensor(or whatever they are called) of the IIs, makes me think that when handheld the 1D X will be sharper. See, during exposure, slight movement of the camera is more noticable on smaller pixels. The sharpness advantage of the IIs can only be gained when the camera is held very still. SR may help, but if it is only as effective as the k-x I own and love, it can only help a little. I'm sure the SR of the K-5 is better, though. Of course the 1D X's are cleaner than the IIs by about a stop.
No doubt the DXOmark score of the IIs will be better than any other APS-C currently on the market, and that's good for us pentaxians.
