DA 15 Vs DA 12-24: Who Wins?

Here is a shootout test by a DPR Pentax user, full size comparison shots and crops are posted:-

(Full Size Samples - Warning: Very Large Files to Download)

(Crops)

Well, the differences are obvious and I agree with the observations of and conclusions as drawn up by the poster. Of course, you can ignore all those and just view, inspect and judge yourself, first.

Happy (or maybe unhappy anyway) measurbating! ;-x

WoW. It seems, that 12-24 is sharper. Very strange.
Maybe 15mm in such a compact design is just too much to bear for designers;) and 12-24 is one peace of a great lens
15 may not be as sharp, but far more interesting lens.
It seems to me the comparision is not correct. DA15 is one of sharpest lens Pentax ever made from f4 at center.
I don't see it here. Yes, the borders are good only from f5.6 and very good at f8, but...
And I don't even have a look at JPEG comparisions. And I think this copy of DA15 is no good and it's all.:)
