"Film is Dead"! ;-)

I put a roll of film into my beloved film Pentax MZ-S back to July 2009 for taking some photos in a time-lapse manner with time-stamp on frame. Yesterday, the frame counter has reached 29 and the roll of film will expire some time next year..

So, I declare, film is dead! At least this is almost true for my case. Why? It is because within the same period, I think I have made 10k+ digital images and frames already. But as for film, I've only managed to take 28, for 16 months! Just! ;-))

Speaking of the MZ-S, and for gear talk, its mirror action is just so smooth and the vibration caused by the mirror slap is nearly non-existent! Well Done, my Old Pentax!!

Wow, MZ-S look gorgeous! ..Also quite pricey on ebay :)
Always wandering if i should go and try out some film gear.
But only have old USSR made zenit. No AE, so painfully slow to use :/

Yes, it looks sexy, especially with the old Pentax SMC-A lenses, of which the appearance and design is what the dark FA Limited copied from.

The MZ-S keeps its value over time very well and there is even also price increase, which is just very different from the price trend of those Pentax top "flagship" DSLRs, which lose its value down to 1/3rd or even 1/4th only after one year!

As for trying out film, the worst film gear will make no difference in IQ then the best ones! ;-)
My own MZS is a dream to hold and use. If only dslrs were so compact and great to use.

I have been waiting for a Full Frame Pentax DSLR that has such an unique character and build but have never been able to see one! :-( There is simply no Pentax FF body (nor a few more FF lenses right now) in the Pentaxland, nor in the foreseeable future!! >:-((

Frankly, I really don't like holding a brick in my hands as for my Cantax K-5D!! >:-[
I have tried holding some FF dslrs and they undoubtedly have great image potential but are unrewarding to carry around.
My K100D is reasonable but the MZS is truly special.
Hi, how many of those 10k+ do you have on paper?
