EXIF data are preserved. If you're interested in the shooting settings and other details, just have a look at them and go figure it out for yourself. :-) Live View and MF Assist were used for most of the shots.
Below was the gear I used, i.e., my Pentax K-r with a F*300/4.5 with or without a Kenko TelePlus Pro 300 (KAF2) 3X convertor:-

I was comparing the NEX-5N sensor to the K-r (and my K-x) and is seems nearly two stops better.
I am hoping that the K-r successor will have that capability.
Unfortunately I missed these shots. A lovely clear night in HK.

Yep, that night was exceptional clear for the sky. But the weather is cold and windy, I stayed two hours outdoor for these shots! :-|
