True Round Diaphragm Pentax Lens!

This must be the true round diaphragm Pentax lens ever! See:-

It has even two more blades for what I saw and reported for the last time:-

Wonderful! The bokeh of this Takumar must be good! And, Pentax wins (won actually) other once again, eventually! ;-D

Just so you know, Rice: the future will be round again. Like Mr. Kitazawa already mentioned in his already famous interview this will probably be made in the form of liquid crystal apertures, so no more moving parts. Also the edge of such a LCD aperture can be made in the form of a gradient from clear to black, theoretically making a Gaussian blur in the bokeh possible (doing away with the harsh outlining in some circumstances).

It can only get better ;)

I am afraid that those things are mostly impractical and his thinkings are unrealistic before technologies of those become mature, but not in the foreseeable near future! :-o
What a sweet lens. Thanks for sharing this.
Hi RiceHigh,

I'd appreciate if you would give credit to me and link back to my flickr page: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kuuan/5296475055/in/...
btw. I have two copies of this lens, one copy in excellent condition is for sale

oh, and this photo shows even better how round the aperture remains, even when stopped down: http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6218/6222070450_186...
