Also looks like there's a new DA* lens being shown.
Unsubstantiated rumor right now.....but if these lenses were FF that would confirm. Or is this just more PF hot air?

totally unsubstantiated. PF is full of people who think they are funny, but aren't. The "doomed" joke is really tiresome. As tiresome as the guys who say APS-C is all you need.

Remember the Pentax Australia Twitter rumour? Followed by the OGL rumour last year? Now this one? What's the next country to create a FF rumour.

I read the original page and it is a 100% speculation.

I'm really disappointed in Photokina. Not just with Pentax, but all products. I thought at least there would be a sub $1200 full frame camera from one of the manufacturers. Or a 6D successor. The D750 is weird and just reinforces that you have to pay up for FF. They need something cheaper than the D610.

Pentax Australia never, ever, told that a FF was coming: http://photorumors.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09...

And Ogl's rumor was, well... a rumor.

Thanks for the link. They never said a FF was coming, but they TOTALLY implied it by saying "good things are coming" to the guy who said he would switch without it. A lot of websites ran with that too. A bit misleading in hindsight, eh?

From PF: "Can someone please explain to me how is their answer any different than the one from a year ago?" Exactly! Why are people getting excited and actually think it is coming?
It's all UNDER ENGINEERING!

(sing along now)
"Imagine: Under Engineering"

Imagine there's no products
It's easy if you try
No prototypes below us
Above us only colors of pie

Imagine all the lenses
Arriving here today

Imagine there's no announcements
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to spend money, or want for
And no full frame, too

Imagine all the products
Under engineering

Ricoh, you may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you will surprise us
And Pentax will be as one

Imagine no new products
I wonder if you can
No need for speed or wonder
A rebadged lineup of blah

(refrain)
Imagine all the products
Under engineering

Ricoh, you may say I'm a FF dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you will surprise us
And Pentax will live as one

P.S. You know I <3 you Pentax!
French Ricoh Facebook page and 2 serious french magazine (le monde de la photo and focus-numerique.com) are reporting this, this is not rumors but it's a Ricoh's staff interview.

It's multiple people repeating the same source. "In development" could mean they just looked at the datasheets for possible sensors. It means nothing.
Some news you will like to comment:

It has been officially declared that the Pentax FF was in development for *years*, very old news and super boring indeed.

If you don't believe, search this Blog.

Exactly, they confirmed NOTHING at all. Nothing official. Just rumours from regional departments and 100% speculation. "It's in development".
This new lens looks like the logical successor to the 16-45.
We can expect same high resolution with better controlled CA. With longer range, DC motor and WR added, this is a promising package. Looking forward to seeing how it will perform.
I do think they are running behind with their lens developments and this lens should have been released like 2-3 years ago.
