because it naturally drops with decreasing distance.
Important is the smallest distance at which the AF prediction still works. In the K-3 II
case it seems to work to about four times smaller distance, where DOF is 16 times
smaller, or, down to some 15 meters where the DOF is like half a meter, much less
than frame separation as the train was doing several meters between frames, if I
read correctly.
