DA18-270 is to be Marketed on December 13

Btw, the file name of the high resolution product image which is linked in the above page is "t-da18-270mm_F35-63ed_sdm.jpg". So, what does the "t" letter mean and represent? Tamron?!


After all, RP is just so honest! Do they really need to tell this again even though all people already knew! >:-o

As for the price, whilst it is said to be "opened". I guess this lens will not be cheap, with reference to the price of the original Tamron version that is already on sales in the market for quite some time now.

I think so "t" means like "telephoto" because HD PENTAX-DA 560mmF5.6ED AW's filename is same: "t-da560mm_F56ed_aw.jpg" and the another example: D FA MACRO 100mmF2.8 WR named as "m-dfa-macro-100f28wr.jpg". "m" like "macro".

Why does the lens have an af/mf-switch? Pentax cameras have such a switch already on the body.

I have the 18-250 variant, quite a good lens, and the 18-270 is said to be evebn a little bit better

Trap/catch-in focus with lens in manual-mode and camera in automatic mode possible ??
I use this combination with other lenses and it's a nice feature for many situations.
My macro does not supply this switch, so i had to mask the corresponding pin.

I think it cannot be done. The MF switch in lens is supposed to completely switch the operation to full manual focus mode.

ehh rebranded tamy 28-75 would be great. I have one and on k200 it's outstanding.
