Canon Announced EOS 600D (Rebel T3i) and 1100D (Rebel T3)

The previous spread rumours on the net are true. The 600D (Rebel T3i) and 1100D (Rebel T3) are there!

So, Canon strikes back again. This DSLR market and competition is really fierce! :-|

In order to compete, I am sure that Pentax/Hoya needs to make more colourful DSLRs in order to survive, just like the following stuff that has just been announced (locally at Japan) or to be announced (very soon, worldwide):-

But then this time Canon is also playing with colours, so? :-o

Still no shake reduction inside the body, failed.
They made three cameras using the same sensor, EOS7D, EOS60D, and Kiss X4. Looking at X5, it seems they just lower the price while adding the movable LCD. And X50 is worse, colored in red while down graded the sensor and functions. Seems like only marketing gimmic.
Canan made again: two terrible pieces of creaking plastic...
Canon's low-end bodies are becoming worse and worse. Looks like a shit.

And still the same old sensor? What happened to Canon?
If it's any worth, Canon's lower end is arguably more or less capable than any brand's. I mean, considering today's tech, can anyone really go wrong with any brand? Competition is good for consumers, right?

I just remember a time when Nokia was churning out reincarnations of the same models every year.

And before anyone flames me for my 1st sentence, I'm K-r user.

I really wanted to have a good dslr i could keep for the rest of my life, and i don't want to end up buying the wrong unit. I mean i wanted pentax k-r because of it's colors but seeing canon's 600d made me change my mind. Since you are a k-r user, would you rather suggest k-r for me? Or should I go for canon 600d? I really wanted a good HD video. Thank you! Please to those who wanted to help me choose the right dslr, you could e-mail me. sevenxdeadlyxsins@yahoo.com THANK YOU VERY MUCH! P.S I'm a beginner.
I don't recommend K-r to you unless you won't shoot under tungsten light indoor, under which severe front focusing must be resulted.

As for Canon 600D, I personally do not have much practical experience with. But if the K-r has to be compared with the 550D (which I had been using for one month), I think K-r still produces better colours. But in terms of AF accuracy and video quality, I think 550D still wins. For more information about the 550D and how it is compared to the Pentax K-x, see my previous 550D full review:-

I wished Pentax to be the "monkey" for including a f/2.8 AF sensor to their bodies to improve AF accuracy and reliability, for what Canon had done since their EOS 450D, but unfortunately Pentax never did it! :-(

The 2.8 AF sensor was a big hope and some (like R.M.) even mentioned before release, it has it. But if you would use K-5, you would find the current AF speed would hardly limit you... Maybe P will have it in the next K-?, who knows...
... or real ring-type AF motor.... it would be nice!
