The "DFA" badge looks cheap IMHO, though.

Rice, are we really on a level to judge lenses by the color of the ring or the design of a label?

Its a modern lens. If you don't like big and clunky go back to shooting with old MF primes that are tiny and compact. I hear voigtlander still makes them with an emphasis on size. Those pentax limiteds are pretty small too. If you want to talk big and clunky, lets talk about sony's new e-mount primes.
The printed badge isn't so horrible and might have been inevitable given that tamron is likely manufacturing the lens. They might have went with the same barrel for economy, so what are they supposed to do? Glue a badge on? Because that isn't cheap. The lens doesn't even have a star designation and that's a good thing. Don't hate. The tamron is a good lens.
Wow this lens gives the K5 (even with battery grip) the feeling of being a little dwarf :D

I hope it will deliver beautiful pics with the FF (and APS-C) Pentax cameras!
