Good news, nice post, perfect history, assumed outstanding camera.
However, new sensor? 645 light or 24x36 plus? Possibility to use big format lenses on new FF?
Or "just" a new format in Pentax-land? Information too mysterious.

a remake is welcome :)
They refer the sensor as a new format because there is never been a 24x36 mm format in digital k mount.

I own a great K3, and was really thinking of upcoming FF. But. Ricoh`s PR is really sucks.Price policy even worth. What do they have on mind? Stellar cost of glasses, old Tamron appeared to be new Pentax 24-70, issues with 70-200, no even rumors of new limiteds, no rumors from Sigma, Tokina, Zeiss, Tamron about support new FF and so on...For whom all this show? Could little army of fans afford new FF set? Will pro guys turn for Pentax and sell all their Nikon stuff? What key specs Pentax will offer? Weather seal is not a wonder anymore. As well as super duper autofocus. Will FF beat Nikon 750-810 in any possible way? No answer. Sorry, I will go for Nikon.

IMHO, three points that (for me) speak for Pentax is
* ergonomics: I am really in love with "the Pentax way" of operating a camera. Like Sv, User modes, many specialized buttons, very logical and intuitive way, very similar between models, etc. On top of that, small (for DSLR) cameras
* in-body image stabilization with the advantages of small lenses (Limiteds!) and astrotracing
* really good JPGs directly out of camera, especially a really good auto white balance. To me as an amateur photographer (and NOT an amateur image postprocessor), this is very important, and from what I've seen, my Nikon friends sometimes show pictures with very weird colors. When pointing that out, they explain that this is only RAW and they still have to do their PP.
