There was a comment by pentax germany below the pic the that said that the poster for 2012 has to be enlarged...since this is a poster obviously only for reflex cameras they seem to know something...looked like a hint

How to enlarge then? And, how large is it?
"Dieses Jahr wird das Poster größer werden müssen.<:i>" = This year the poster will have to be bigger.

i.e. to make room for additional reflex cameras. Kolossal finesse ;)
My interpretation is that the poster is posted at small size (at only 960 x 640) and it would just mean that they would post a larger size later on but not necessarily to add a new camera! Even there will be a new camera, it is not necessary to be a reflex, they can easily edit the title by deleting the word SLR, can't they? ;-p
This woudl have sense if they didn't say "This year". Looking at the phrase, sounds more like this year something new is comming, so they will have to increase the size of it to fit the new cámeras. Or the german guy who wrote that is a super troll and is now laughing like crazy reading our interpretations xD.
Just believe him, no one is a bigger troll than me! ;-D
if i remember correctly the image was first displayed in the context that you could win the poster. but the comment was clearly meant that something addiotional has to find space on the poster this year. and if they want to change the title they could alrady have done so and put all the compacts on it too. So i'm sure they wanted to tell us that in this year (2012) there will be at least one additional SLR camera on the poster.
...buy K5 or wait... i can't decide...*ARGH*
For what it is worth, based on the imaging-resource CES interview of John Carlson it seems like that APS-C based K mount bodies will stick around. He says that they are looking into filling the K-mount telephoto gaps - longer and faster telophoto lenses. Granted the answers are not full of detail and I wish they had asked the question "will the K-mount be killed?", but it does not sound like they will abandon ye ol K mount. Also, they like their video support as is so it sounds like more of the same - maybe updated k-5 and k-r with the latest sony sensors. Ricoh had stated previously that they were working on a K mount module which would basically act as the K mount mirror less. Could be worse, look at what Canon is doing.

On second thought. After reading the interview with John Carlson of Pentax by imaging-resources at CES again one question and response stands out -

"DE: Last October, Pentax Imaging Systems was acquired by Ricoh, a company best known their office equipment in the U.S. market. While they've had some very interesting offerings, they've not managed to gain a lot of traction with their camera line in the U.S. to date. There's also some duplication between Ricoh and Pentax's product lines, particularly among compact cameras. How do you see your product lines fitting together - will there be unification under one brand at some point, or will the two brands continue with their own identities?

JC: Right now that strategy is being determined, although the indication is that Ricoh will continue as a product line, and Pentax will continue as a product line, but obviously merge our resources to become a stronger company. Ricoh acquired Pentax for the Pentax brand, and the Pentax brand is a product category within the Ricoh company; just like you would have CyberShot to Sony."

So it sounds like Carlson does not know of Ricoh's plan yet either.

I am a "5" user, it seems. I used to have the MZ-5n. Now I have the K5. Funny.
Very nice poster. However, it reminds me of a poster produced by my other favourite company SAAB, that listed all their car models since 1946. Just 1 year before they went bankrupt. Too sad for words.
Thanks Macci and Jerry. The above link updated !
