I guess the anounced D FA large diameter wide zoom is a copy of the Tamron SP AF 15-30mm 2.8 Di USD without image atabilization.
The D FA Standard zoom could be a "refurbished" FA 28-105/4-5.6 IF, which was produced from 1999 to 2002 by Tamron...
There are 3 diferent Pentax 28-105 FA zooms:

FA 28-105 f4-5.6 power zoom '92-'99 , 515 g, 0.36X max magnification, filter 58mm, clip-on hood RH-RC58
FA 28-105 f 3.2-4.5 AL IF '99-2002, 305g, 0.18X max magnification, filter 62mm, bayonet hood: PH-RBH62
FA 28-105 f4-5.6 AL IF, 2001 - recent time, 255g, 0.19X max magnification, filter 58mm, bayonet hood PH-RBC 58mm

You are right about the number of 3 different 28-105 FA zooms, but please take a look at this site for correct information: http://www.bdimitrov.de/kmp/lenses/zooms/short/in...
Sorry, typing error...

The correct version:

FA 28-105 f4-5.6 power zoom '92-'99 , 515 g, 0.36X max magnification, filter 58mm, clip-on hood RH-RC58
FA 28-105 f4-5.6 AL IF '99-2002, 305g, 0.18X max magnification, filter 62mm, bayonet hood: PH-RBH62
FA 28-105 f 3.2-4.5 AL IF, 2001 - recent time, 255g, 0.19X max magnification, filter 58mm, bayonet hood PH-RBC 58mm
The only change in this roadmap, compared to the one released earlier this year, is that de D-FA 24-70mm has moved from planning (bottom) to in production.

Having a look at older roadmaps I see that the planned DA Wide Zoom has been on the roadmap since 2011! when it was planned for "2013 or later".

The DA APS-C lenses are dying but yet the FF lenses are not yet arriving, how the gap is to be filled? :-o
So in the future we would not see a PENTAX HD D-FA 150-600 5-6.3 ED DC WR? May be this is not so bad because Sigma has better options now (150-600 C and S but not for Pentax). And the new PENTAX original HD D-FA 150-450 4-5.6 is a very good (excellent) lens / alternative (ePhotozine.com). Often the 500mm or 600mm's are not good usable (soft) and cropping is better. However the Sigma S performs better than Sigma C, performs better than Tamron 150-600 (lowest price made in China but feels not cheap/plastic, I tested Photokina 2014).
What does the purple circle mean?
