Hoya Actually Made SLR Lenses

Hoya actually made SLR lenses in different mounts, including entax K, Nikkor F and Minolta MD and etc. Some examples:-

Well, the printed HMC name as seen is not on the filter, but really on the lens itself instead! :-o

Anyway, Hoya is just a name of the past in the history of Pentax, as long as the production of cameras and lenses is concerned.

I think you'll find a lot of SLR lenses today contain Hoya glass. Together with Ohara they are among the main glass smelters around in Japan.

But as far as I know, all your beloved FA Limiteds and FA* used Ohara glass.
Might be part of the reason the difficulty of revival under Hoya?

P.S> Just got myself a MIJ (early lead glass?) FA 43, with serial number in 1000s, and it;s so damn good! Strange thing is is comes with a black ouch and green flet in the lens cap.. How odd

Black cap liner & brown pouch (0005xxx here) should be with it...and "redish" coating instead of green...
Mine is of s/n 4k something and black cap liner and brown leather pouch. But the front glass element is of green coating.
It's very puzzling.. I suspect the seller may have changed the pouch and felt cap from a later 43 lens to this one - no matter, the lens is stella, I'm loving it, been out shooting a street market with 43 and the 77 today and very happy with the results.
