Sony E55-210 Vs Pentax F80-200 Brief Shootout (on NEX-3)

Apertures were set at around f/8, weather condition was a bit hazy but with some weak sunlight shining on. Images were then resized to about 4,000 pixels in width, full EXIF preserved. E55-210 images were taken using AF whereas F80-200 pics were taken using MF peaking function at 7X. Other than the above differences, pictures were taken at almost the same time with the same other settings. Okay, I won't comment further and will just let you measurebate and decide! Of course, feedbacks are welcome for what you find later on!

The colour from pentax is warmer, which is somehow the style of film lens.

Between 70-100, Pentax lens clearly produces sharper image outside the center (can't even read the words on the buildings properly from the Sony lens). Though the Sony lens seems to perform marginally better than the Pentax one on the tele end. Not sure if it is a result of focusing, haze or shutter speed though.

I'm afraid that your observations are all correct. Btw, I have found a suspected decentering/optical axis misalignment defect after this test of which the problem shows up more clearly when wide opened. I shall go for an exchange of my lens this evening. Will re-conduct the test once the replacement unit is obtained.
At 200m the Sony lens is sharper, you could try a SMC F 70-210mm, it has an ED element and it is a very good lens, should perform better than the SMC F 80-200mm. The SMC F 70-210mm was my adorable tele zoom lens, now the Nikkor 70-300 VR is my new love.
