1st Q-mount 3rd Party Lens: MS Optical Sonnetar 25mm F1.1

With a 5.5X multiplying factor of the Q, the effective 35mm film equivalent focal length with the same Angle of View is about 137.5mm. It seems to be a Full Manual lens nevertheless, for both focusing and aperture control, as seen in the above second picture. Estimated price is at US$650, via DC Fever:-

Good looking lens, any picture quality review?

I think there is no sample picture of it so far.
Three pictures there, albeit small (600 x 450 pixels)

Great set of aperture blades, nicely rounded diapraghm - but not sure I like the bokeh in the first and third shots. Will need to see more. The chromatic aberration looks toxic, however. Those branches against the brightest window pane have severe purple fringing, as do the chains and especially the shadows cast by the chains. What's the asking price on this lens?
Those Bokeh are likely faked by the Q (artificial depth simulation)
I am not impressed with the IQ of the pictures!
Those pictures look pretty decent actually. @ Rice- near all lenses shot full wide like that in such high contrast situation on any camera have chromatic aberrations. Even the Nikon FX system can have them in such situation but Nikon removes it in the JPEGS ala- Panasonic 4/3rds/m 4/3rds/ P&S. You need to see more pictures from other cameras shot in that situation and that aperture to get some perspective.

I would like to see full size shots though.

This is M4/3 imege.(M4/3mount Prototype) http://ktfdesign.blog.fc2.com/
The bokeh, colour rendition and image transparency are all terrible, frankly!
This is also the kind of lens speed I wish Pentax did. IT completely changes the camera- more DOF control and way better low light performance

But it is a long and full manual lens after all.
And? So fxxking what. Seriously I don't know what your problem is, if it's plain ignorance or you just want to ignore things. How many lenses are in micro four thirds now that are bright and manual only? How many lenses are like that with other cameras?

So it's a portrait lens, and it's full manual. Wow, is that the cons? Big fxxking deal seriously.

Now, what I would like Pentax to do is a lens like that but on their own brand with the Q style and AF but it's really not a deal breaker as far as having the option of what effectively is a portrait lens, with some decent bokeh and low light performance.
